Job Summary
As a Scribe and Surgical/Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, providing essential support to our providers while ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role offers hands-on experience in patient care, allowing you to assist with a wide range of surgical and skin procedures and general patients' skin care consults. You will work closely with both patients and providers, contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
Essential Duties & Skills
- Assist providers in physical examination, such as full body skin exams and in-office surgeries such as cyst removals and skin cancer surgeries.
- Assist providers with patient consults and examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Stock rooms and maintain inventory counts.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in a Plastic Surgery, ENT or Dermatology practice or a related healthcare setting, preferably with surgical assisting expertise.
- Familiarity with dermatologic procedures, treatments, and medical terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both patients and team members.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Dedication to delivering compassionate patient care while upholding strict confidentiality standards.
